Courts and surfaces for the places a whole community uses

Boards, facilities managers, and parks staff have a different job than a homeowner: more courts, more stakeholders, a budget cycle, and neighbors who will write in about noise. NorCal Surfaces builds, converts, and resurfaces courts for HOAs, schools, churches, and parks across Northern California, and installs rubber play and pool surfaces on the same visit.

What we do for associations and institutions

  • Tennis-to-pickleball conversions: two or four pickleball courts on one tennis pad, or blended lines so both sports keep playing
  • New pickleball and basketball courts on new or existing pads
  • Resurfacing programs: crack repair, acrylic color, and re-lining across all courts on a schedule
  • Pool deck resurfacing with Rubber Stone: cooler, grippy when wet, one surface over old pours
  • Playground and splash-pad surfacing in poured rubber
  • Noise mitigation: siting, acoustic fence panels, and hours-of-play guidance for pickleball

How we work with a board

You get a written scope with options priced separately, so the board can approve the conversion this year and the resurface next. We attend the meeting if it helps. Work is staged so some courts stay open, and we schedule around swim season, school calendars, and tournament dates.

Pickleball and the neighbors

Every association converting tennis courts to pickleball has heard from the homes nearest the court. The paddle pop carries. We site new courts with that in mind, install acoustic fencing where a court is close to homes, and give the board a hours-of-play recommendation it can put in the rules. Our guide on permits, HOA rules, and pickleball noise has the details.

Why a local crew

The court builders that show up on most HOA bid lists in Northern California are headquartered in the Bay Area. We are based in Butte County and work the whole North State and Sacramento Valley, so the site walk, the build, and the punch list come from the same people, and a warranty call is a drive, not a dispatch.
